Installer
The Installer role necessitates a most capable individual- a maker, builder, do-er. This individual's skills and experiences will dictate what responsibilities they hold within the installation department. The Installer will be required to work under a range of environmental conditions, and installation shifts may last up to 12 hours. An ideal Installer for GuildWorks is someone who has experience with rigging, is extremely hands on, and is extremely hard working but calm in mind and practice.
Job Responsibilities and Duties may include:
• Mastering all responsibilities prescribed under the Production Assistant position
• Installation of various textiles under tension
• Preparing for on-site installations and responsible for managing tools and equipment on site
• Understanding installation flow, able to modify flow based on efficiency needs
• Communicating between departments (design, production, installation, inventory)
• Other tasks as required by Installation Lead
Required Skills and Abilities:
• Able to work outdoors, and in adverse weather conditions
• Comfortable working at heights up to 100’
• Able to lift up to 75lbs
• Physically able to bend, push, reach, stand, stoop, turn, walk, climb, read/see ( with focus on reading, distinguishing colors, depth perception,
awareness in peripheral vision) for the duration of a 12+ hour shift
• Must be able to travel, domestically and out of state, up to 75% of the time
• Must be able to work overnight
• Able to work calmly a fast pace, under pressure of deadline
• Mechanically and technically apt
• Has strong visual and spatial understanding capabilities
• Comfortable with receiving/executing precise directives in both calm and challenging work scenarios
• Self driven with the desire to follow through and achieve completion on every task
• Demonstrate the ability to safely use high powered, or sharp tools and equipment
• Able to take direction, open and responsive to constructive criticism
Preferred
• Certifications in Rigging, Scissor/Boom lift operations,
• Experience building, rigging, and/or construction
• Safety training ex; OSHA 10, 1st aid
