Assistant Production Manager

This role encompasses a diverse range of workloads. This role will serve as an assistant to the Production Manager, and will encompass all duties prescribed in the Production Assistant position. In addition, this person must be able to proactively manage varying tasks simultaneously, while proactively preparing for the next steps in a project's life cycle. The Assistant Production Manager will actively work in production, carrying information to and from management and between departments. Industry experience is favored

Job Responsibilities and Duties
    •    Mastering of all responsibilities listed under the Production Assistant position
    •    Oversight of production processes, and adherence to company standards
    •    Ensuring that the production process is efficient and cost effective
    •    Fulfill responsibilities delegated by the Production Manager on a daily basis
    •    Able to foresee potential problems before they happen, and able to modify workflow accordingly
    •    Ensuring health and safety guidelines are adhered to
    •    Will perform lower level management of small production team

Required Skills and Abilities
    •    Management and Team Building Skills
    •    Analytical and problem solving skills
    •    Effective verbal and listening skills
    •    Thorough understanding of sewing techniques and processes
    •    Able to learn and master Hot air welding as contrived by GuildWorks
    •    Able to take direction, open and responsive to constructive criticism
    •    Must have superb stress handling skills, and ability to function under tight and tense deadlines
    •    Must have masterful people skills, and the ability to be honest and direct under pressure

Preferred
    •    Background in architecture, engineering, or professional sewing experience
    •    Team management or small projects management experience
    •    Computer savvy, Google Drive proficient
